Posted September 1, 2016

This month’s featured TRC collection partner is Johnson Supply, a loyal participant of the program since 2006. In the past four years alone they have collected more than 7,000 mercury thermostats, diverting more than 87lbs of mercury from solid waste. They were also one of the winners in last year’s Big Man on Planet competition for being a HARDI member that recycled the most mercury thermostats.

“It is great that we have TRC as a partner in helping collect as much mercury bearing thermostats as possible out of the environment. We have gone through great lengths to promote this program to insure its success as a team and as a company. Together we can truly make a difference one stat at a time!!” Said by Donald Zimmerhanzel, Branch Manager at Johnson Supply Pasadena, TX

“I have been an avid recycler for over 25 years, I was thrilled when my company Johnson Supply began recycling mercury thermostats! This toxin being taken out of play is excellent for the earth.” Said by Lori Fitzgerald, Branch Manager at Johnson Supply Clute, TX
