Family is at the center of Empire Comfort. In 1911 Henry Bauer established a small sheet metal shop in Belleville, IL. And by 1932, Empire Stove Company was formally incorporated. Back then, Empire manufactured sheet metal stoves that took advantage of increasingly available natural gas.
Since then, Empire has weathered many changes. But “the Bauer family has remained the one constant.”
Today, the Bauer family remains at the helm. “Nick Bauer and Jane Bauer represent the fourth generation of Bauers at Empire Comfort Systems – making this a continuously family-operated business since 1932.”
